The fort of Oga

The Dossaccio is a fortification dating back to the Great War, which was built at 1,800 m of height between 1909 and 1912 as part of an extensive network (“Cadorna Line”)with the aim of defending the Italian territory agasinst Austro-Hungarian attacks. Still operational during the World War II, the Oga Fort was dismantled in 1958. More recently it was converted into a Great War museum, and now il welcomes a steadily growing number of visitors.
